Cinnamon

The healthy and fragrant spice cinnamon is actually the dried inner bark of the cinnamon tree and is used for both sweet and savory dishes. You only have to smell it, and you immediately think of autumn, warm apple pie, and coziness. There are different varieties, such as cassia. It is strong and spicy in flavor and originally comes from Burma.
Tip! Do not cook cinnamon for too long, as the flavor will become bitter. Cinnamon is regularly used in our pastry workshops.
Did you know that cinnamon comes from the inner bark of the cinnamon tree? Young shoots are harvested, stripped of the outer bark, and dried. During drying, the inner bark naturally curls up and forms the familiar sticks.
