Fun Fact: What moving with your brain does

w-eet-jes03/23/2026

Sitting still for long periods is not only less good for your body but also for your brain. Neuroscientist Erik Scherder regularly emphasizes how important movement is for our brains. Even small changes make a difference. Standing up, taking a walk, cycling, or changing your workplace stimulates the brain and helps to process information better.

According to the Brain Foundation, daily movement is already effective for more relaxation, better concentration, and a more creative brain. It's no coincidence that the well-known Ommetje app was developed together with Scherder: to encourage people to move for about 20 minutes daily for their brains.

It's not surprising then that many of our activities take place outdoors: fresh air and movement often lead to the best ideas.

Come to Eat2Gather for meetings, and we will provide an informal standing lunch, a fun walk through the old city center in between, or an interactive cooking workshop after your meeting.
